Auto Insurance

Auto insurance policies vary per state. Types of coverage and minimum coverage limits depend on the state you live in. In North Dakota you MUST have Liability Insurance, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, and no-fault coverage.

  • Liability Insurance

    • Liability Insurance helps cover the costs of injures or property damage you have caused while driving your vehicle. In North Dakota, your liability insurance policy must have the following as a minimum:

      • $25,000 per person for bodily injury.

      • $50,000 per accident for total bodily injury when multiple people are injured.

      • $25,000 per accident for property damage.

  • Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage

    • If you were in a car accident and injured by a driver who does not have liability coverage, uninsured motorist coverage could provide the necessary coverage.

    • If you were in a car accident and injured by a driver whose liability coverage is less than your underinsured coverage, underinsured motorist coverage could provide the necessary coverage.

    • In North Dakota, your car uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage policy must have the following as a minimum:

      • $25,000 per person for bodily injury.

      • $50,000 per accident for total bodily injury when multiple people are injured.

  • No-Fault Coverage

    • It is important to know that North Dakota is a no-fault state. If you were in a car accident, no-fault insurance will provide coverage for your injuries no matter who was at fault for the accident. That being said, your no-fault coverage in North Dakota car insurance policy must have the following as a minimum:

      • $30,000 per person
